The benefits and the sense of well being that comes from getting regular bodywork is amazing. I started my massage career in my living room, where I massaged friends and family as my first clients. My gift of touch was evident even then, as my "clients" would typically fall asleep and would wake up energized and feeling amazing. Following the advice from one of my mentors and my desire to practice Holistic health one day I decided to go to National Holistic Institute (NHI) in Emeryville, CA to inquire about becoming a massage therapist. On that same day I enrolled in school and never looked back!
I officially became a Certified Massage Therapist through the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) in October 2013, and successfully completed the 900 clock hour program from the National Holistic Institute (NHI) and graduated January 2014. I must admit that it feels real good to know that the training (tools, skills, and knowledge) that I received to become succesful in my new carrer came from one of the top 5 Massage Schools in the US. I love continuing education courses it keeps me up to date with the new trends and studies in the massage world. My passion for massage therapy always keeps me seeking the knowledge to grow and to better serve my clients. I am now part of an industry that helps improve people's lives. I can honestly say that I have one of the best jobs in the world.
